Lizzy and Gavin are getting married in a few months and wanted engagement photos in Joshua Tree National Park to include on their save-the dates and wedding invitations. This drive is a major commitment for most, but it is TOTALLY worth it. In fact, I have a couple flying in from the East Coast in the fall specifically for Joshua Tree engagement photos.
What is Joshua Tree?
Joshua Tree is a National Park located in Twentynine Palms, CA. It is known for its rock formations and funky looking cactus–THE JOSHUA TREE. The park makes an ideal backdrop for couples and families going for a boho look in their photos. Engagement photos in Joshua Tree are some of my favorites!

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
➳ The line to get in the gate is LONG!! Arrive early!
➳ There is a $15 fee to enter (although, for whatever reason, they didn’t charge the day I went).
➳ Cell reception inside the park is spotty at best. I recommend dropping a pin at your meeting point and sharing it with your group.

Before heading to Joshua Tree, I scoured the internet looking for GPS coordinates for beautiful photo spots. The truth is, the entire park is beautiful and you really can’t go wrong with any location, BUT I’m here to make your life easier, so here’s the location I used:
