A Romantic Spring Wedding at The Langham Pasadena
There’s something effortlessly magical about a spring wedding at The Langham, and this celebration was no exception. Set against the timeless backdrop of The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, the day unfolded with a graceful blend of refined elegance and garden-inspired romance.
After the ketubah signing, a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony took place on the lush lawn of the hotel, where guests were greeted by the soft rustle of grasses and the delicate scent of spring blooms. The bride, inspired by the organic beauty of wildflowers and the airiness of a meadow, chose potted plants and flowing grasses to line the aisle. Her chuppah, draped in climbing vines, soft florals, and her family’s heirloom tallit, was both a visual and emotional anchor, honoring heritage while embracing the season’s renewal.
Following the outdoor ceremony, guests were welcomed into a softly draped ballroom glowing with warm amber uplighting. Crystal chandeliers hung overhead, adding a touch of glamour to the serene, neutral-toned space. The reception design struck a balance between upscale and inviting. Crisp white linens, romantic candlelight, and lush centerpieces in soft pastels created a timeless, springtime ambiance.
Florals played a central role throughout the day. Arrangements featured a palette of lavenders, buttery yellows, whites, and fresh greens, echoing the bride’s love of natural beauty. Each detail, from the garden-style centerpieces to the vintage-inspired wedding cake adorned with piped buttercream, told a story of grace, family, and intentional design.

Florals
The floral design was inspired by the untamed beauty of wildflowers and the soft movement of wind-swept grasses, evoking an ethereal, almost dreamlike feeling throughout the day. The bride envisioned something that felt organic and alive, an extension of nature itself, and every detail reflected that vision.
For the ceremony, the aisle was lined with potted plants and airy grasses that swayed gently as she walked, creating the feeling of a meadow in bloom. Her chuppah was a true focal point. It was adorned with climbing vines and delicate blooms that felt as though they’d grown there naturally. Draped across the top was her family’s tallit, lovingly passed down through generations, grounding the beauty of the moment in tradition and legacy.

Venue & Decor
The ceremony took place outdoors on the lawn behind The Langham, where guests were surrounded by lush greenery and open sky—an idyllic setting that felt intimate yet expansive. From there, the celebration transitioned into a beautifully draped ballroom for the reception. Soft amber uplighting cast a gentle glow across the space, while grand chandeliers overhead added a refined touch of glamour. Neutral-toned drapes lined the walls, creating a serene and elevated atmosphere that balanced luxury with warmth and hospitality.

Tablescapes in the Ballroom
Guests were welcomed into a dynamic layout of long banquet tables and classic rounds, an intentional design that encouraged connection and conversation. Each table was thoughtfully dressed in crisp white linens and adorned with lush, garden-inspired centerpieces in a romantic pastel palette: soft lavenders, buttery yellows, whites, and delicate greens. The arrangements were low and organic in style, spilling effortlessly with seasonal blooms and greenery to echo the fresh elegance of an outdoor garden party brought indoors.
Glass candle holders and votives dotted the tables, adding layers of soft, flickering light that complemented the room’s warm ambiance. Place settings remained minimal and refined, with green napkins offering a subtle, cohesive pop of color that tied beautifully into the floral design.

Cake
The Lambeth wedding cake served as a timeless centerpiece. A classic three-tiered red velvet confection finished in smooth ivory buttercream. Intricate piped swags and ruffles added vintage charm and an almost regal character, harmonizing perfectly with the celebration’s overall sense of refined elegance. It was nestled among fresh greenery, continuing the organic, floral-forward story told throughout the space.

Otherwise known as Lambeth cakes or over-piped cakes originating in the 1930s, they fell out of popularity with the rise of sugar paste, but they are back and taking over the internet.
