El Matador Beach is a popular location in Malibu (located just north of Los Angeles) to take engagement photos. The light is dreamy, the cliffs are majestic, and the waves are small. I used to shy away from shooting here because it’s so busy, the parking is terrible, and it’s always crawling with photographers. It is, however, one of my most requested locations. In fact, I regularly receive inquires from couples traveling to Los Angeles from outside of the country who want to be photographed on this beach. It’s iconic, and it’s gorgeous!
